I have a buddy who is on a work permit from England. He says the only reason he can't buy firearms is because of this. I believe him since I know he also has a security clearance with our government.
I was going to leave my non-AWs at his house for a couple weeks while I was on a trip. He is a gun nut, like me, but said, No way. He was told he was not allowed to take possession of firearms even for a limited amount of time.
Is this true?

Why can't you leave them at home?
& yes, he's probably right about the gun thing.

We are planning to go shooting before we leave, and he is the only one not going on the trip.
Way back 18 years ago, my neighbors let his cousin from England shoot his guns at a BLM land, was it illegal? His cousin was just a visitor from UK.

Best thread title with actual relevant content EVAR!!!!!!
But as other's have voiced, non-resident alien (even those on H1B work visa) are not allowed to take charge of your firearms and can only own firearms in very limited cases. Basically, if he/she ain't here with the intention to STAY here than it's a no go.

I dunno - it seems like the uber-advanced ray guns are always susceptible to being neutralized by some uber-advanced energy force field....our primitive projectile launchers that rely on simple physics would seem to be immune to such technology....:TFH:
