How much did you pick it up for?
02-27-2009, 1:12 AM
little over a grand.
02-27-2009, 1:50 AM
Are you serious?
02-27-2009, 2:00 AM
Tell me you got one of the Elite or Equinox series for that amount of dosh..

I wish, it was 9 something without tax or the fees.
I was going to pick up a glock 19 instead because it was more affordable but they didn't have any in stock.

Man, that's some hefty coin for a standard 226, but if you have the money and you're okay with the price, then cool:thumbsup:. Congrats!
I love my P226R...GREAT PISTOLS!!!

Pretty much all my tax return is going to be paying this off...
Figure, if I get a 9mm... Get the best money can buy.
Where else could I have picked one up around the Norcal area for a better price?
I didn't knew where I could have picked up a cpo sig and save some cash.

very nice, but this was before the presidency too.
I wish I paid 600 for my sig.
at the store they had the glock 19 for 600.

I am considering buying a 226 (or other Sig depending on what my dad already has in his collection!), but don't see how the other option could be a Glock. How did you come to these two choices. Correct me if I am mistaken, but their actions are totally different, their weight, feel etc are all very different. How did these two become comparable to you? I am not trying to be critical, I am just trying to figure out how to prioritize different features of different guns.

Reason was the price different..
They were about $330 different however, I don't remember glock having a .22 conversion kit.
I wanted something that I can change the slide on days where I just was to put some rounds down the range without the wallet being thin.

You should have picked up a CZ 9mm and some ammo. But congrats on a nice quality firearm.

Well, so far I have about 300 rounds of 9mm in stock but planning on buying some more eventually.
Wally world has some of the best prices of 9mm. I picked up a brick of 250 9mm for $50 and another box of 50 rounds for about $9.
6 more days and I pick it up...
Fantasma, I would pick up an Cz but my friend has one :) .

Took it out last week and she did quite well.
I post up some pictures when i get a chance this week..
On a side note, I want the trijicon night sights on mine but I need some help with installing them.. Could I try it myself or should have someone else do it ?

Boys, going to take her again this following week..
I would go tomorrow, but got a book to read and a paper to write.
On a side note,
What kind of grease does the sig 226 navy comes with? Cause I need to get more for mine but I didn't know what brand the 226 came with. I highly doubt the little pack of grease that came with will last me the whole year.

I love mine too...

The 226 is the perfect first handgun. It will show you why sig has the name that they do.
