Im looking at different lights for my HD gun and I've come down to 3 choices.

Surefire x200

TLR-1

XTI Procyon

Pros/cons for any of them? recommendations? I just want a flashlight no laser.

I've been happy with my surefire. I had a brief email correspondence with a customer sales rep and they seem very customer oriented. When is their new light/laser combo coming out?

TLR-1 is probably the best bang for your buck

If you do a search there was a thread recently with a site selling them for 80 bucks

Surefire X300 gets top marks for brightness and it is aluminum construction. It's not cheapo plastic like some of the others.

The tlr-1 is about 20% brighter (the new ones) and is aluminum cased

I have the M3 Tactical Illuminator on my XD, it's bright and fits the XD service model very well.

It's probably not the best out there but for the cost and lumens it provides it works great for my needs.

I'm partial to Surefire, so I agree with the X300.

The X400 looks awesome and has a laser. I am going to pick one of these up when they come out and have heard possibly this summer but have no real idea. I would say Surefire has the best illuminating tools on the market. Sure, they are not the cheapest but a good quality product.:detective:

You can get a TLR-1 for about $95. Make Sure it has the C4 led technology and it will have plenty of light for your needs. Why pay all the extra bucks?

I've got a TLR-2 and love it. Therefore I would recommend the TLR-1. I like the fact that it is aluminum cased.

yeah, I saw them on their website maybe a couple of months ago but never really searched beyond that. I don't think I need a laser as I have the laser grips but is the light on the x400 better? ...then again a laser show would intimidate those criminals into compliance...

is there anything wrong with the tlr-1? besides that it doesn't say surefire on the side?

Surefire is the best.

Have 3 of their flashlights, going to get an X300 soon.

Get the 300, not the 200; 300 is LED, 200 is incandescent.

Maybe because it isn't smart to go cheap on gear you are going to trust your life to.

I'm sure you'll NOT regret spending the extra hundred bucks the next time something goes "bump" in the night and you reach for your sidearm...... ;)

LED vs a "regular" bulb.

LEDs never burn out and are far more shock-resistant than Incandescents.

Yeah; it's not manufactured by Surefire either. ;)

Both the X200A and X200B are LED weaponlights.

I like my Glock light. It is very compact and bright enough; also pretty cheap. It fits HKs and (with a little shaving) fits Sigs.
