Has anyone tried to fit other power system on the XL 650?
I hear that the powder system is not best. I was wondering if a Hornady power drop might fit?

I have a RCBS powder unit on one of my Dillons using a RCBS case activated linkage. Works great! I'm pretty sure Hornady has the same type of set up. Also have the micro-adjustment for setting the amount of powder dispensed. Here is a link: http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=802477

I don't have an XL650, so I havn't actually tired it. I do have both a Dillon SDB and a Hornady Lock-N-Load AP press. It looks like the the powder measure system would go on the Dillon with little problem. Here is what it looks like to me.
You would need:
1) Hornady Lock-N-Load powder measure, P/N 050069, $63.99 @ Midway.
This comes with the standard rifle powder rotor and metering assy. A pistol rotor/metering assy would be P/N 050128, $29.99 @ Midway. Micrometer meter assy's are also available separately for around $28 each.
2) Hornady Case Activated Powder Drop, P/N 050073, $52.99 @ Midway. This includes a powder die, linkage, drop tube, and #1 & #2 Rifle sleeves & Pistol Sleeve. If you want to do powder through expanding on the powder station, then you need to add the appropriate size powder through expanders @ $8.99 for each different size.
3) Additional Quick Change Powder Dies are available, P/N 050074, $19.29 @ Midway if you want to leave them pre adjusted on tool heads. Changing the powder measure only requires loosening one thumb screw and one spring.
Total for parts for basic rifle setup would be about $117.00 plus shipping, for pistol about $147.00, plus any powder through expanders you wanted.
I plan on trying the Hornady measure on my Dillon next time I do a run to compare the two measures.

It's not a dillon specific problem.
No powder measure runs particularly well with stick powders.
Use ball powders and the dillon measures run great.

Check out this one - the designer made it specifically to work well with extruded powders

Does it really work better than the Dillon measure?

if your loading match quality ammo i would think you would be weighing charges by had on a balance scale, sorting brass by brand, chamfering flashholes etc. im willing to bet and from what i hear the dillon powder thrower prolly works fine for blasting ammo.

For extruded powders, I would say yes.
The designer will be in Reno at the Big Reno Show in Apr - I think its worth looking at. The guy will take as much time with you to show all the features.
