Is GOC improving, too?

After reading hoffmang's post, I rejoined CRPA, after a year or so of leaving them.
What about Sam P. and the GOC?
He is speaking at our club's next meeting.

I've had dinner with Sam before and I found him to be a knowledgeable, sincere and fired up guy; but apparently he has been blamed for some actions that backfired (Microstamping bill?)
Search will show that bweise has commented on it more than once.
So, what's the current consensus of GOC? Any improvements?

GOC is a private business that asks for "donations" from "members".
There really are no members, just people that send funds in with hope.

GOC has been part of the drama with CAFR and the old CRPA lobbyist.

I do not detect any willingness to move forward or coordinate since that could affect revenue.

I do not know of a single, useful pro-gun bill that has been driven by/carried by GOC. They either tag along on the NRA bills, propose unpassable or dangerous/compromising legislation.

GOC's drama directly brought us the AB821 lead ammo bill and AB1471 microstamping bill. I've heard no apologies.

Isn't it funny how the "no-compromise" organization has continually tried to deal in compromises (mail-order ammo, AB2218, etc.)?
