Well, I started prepping some .223 brass earlier for my big reloading evolution that I will be conducting on Sunday. I already had 6k ready to go but I ended up tumbling and cleaning a few more thousands and decided to trim them today.

I normally have my niece do the trimming and I am not sure how she has trimmed so many and not once complained about. LOL. Needless to say, I feel like a lil girl right now because my fingers are hurting right now. LOL.

Here is just some of the brass. Once I have everything ready to go, I will post a pic of all the brass that I will be reloading either sunday or during the week.

Most of my friends tell me that they are coming over to my place when the apocalypse hits. My place will be empty though, cause I'm going to yours.

Oh yeah, grow some man hands dammit! :p

Dude, you got too many things that shouldn't belong on that table. What the hell are those two remotes doing there? You shouldn't be watching TV while reloading. :p

WTF? Did you not order the Dillon VHS reloading video?:D Anyways, you are right, people should not attempt to reload and watch tv at the same time because it is dangerous but I do it anyways. Free Medical Insurance:thumbsup:

Hi, my name is Mario and I'm a reloadaholic.
With a 650 how can you not be. I finally got around to setting mine up for .45 and the next thing I know I've got 700 rounds loaded.

I was going to use the 550 for rifle and the 650 for pistol but I think that idea is going to go out the window. After I load some .38 with HBSWC, I think I'll set the 650 up for .223 and see how that works out.

Couple q's
Where do you source your brass? do you buy components direct from the manufacturer?
What do you use for crimped military brass?
What is your setup like from brass prep to resizing and loading? If your using a progressive are you happy with the accuracy of the powder thrower? Dou you have a auto bullet and case feeder? Pics and details of your setup would be cool? I'm looking into a progressive. Just wondering how you do yours. Sorry if its a lot.

Thanks
Tom

Can't speak for Chief, but I can tell you my setup.

1) - Brass - indoor range
2) - Bullets - Bulk from Montana gold
3) - Dillion swager takes care of my crimped primer pockets
4) - 1 tool head for resize, decap and trim, 1 tool head for loading
5) - Yes, my powder drop is accurate
6) - Case feeder yes, bullet feeder no.

If you intend on loading .223 or 5.56 as your primary, invest in a Dillion Super 1050.

Why is the trimmer sitting on its side and not upright?

It is made to trim either way. It's just personal preference.

I have only bought brass once from the range and it was really cheap, that is why I bought it, but other than that, is brass that I have picked up at the range or I have shot

What do you use for crimped military brass?

Dillon Super Swagger 600, it is in the picture.

Man, too many questions, will answer them when I get back from the range Tom. LOL

Hes lying either way, the truth is his wrists are sore. The remotes are just evidence left from the scene of the crime.

BTW< nice trimmer, that thing is a sweet piece from what I keep reading.
Ive only ever read one negative review on that thing and that was from somene that said it left too sharp a edge after trimming the case. Not sure what to make of that, as ive read 50 other reviews and nobody says anything about it. I assume your happy with yours?

Man, I love this trimer and I would like to thank AR15barrels for telling me to buy it. I was able to trim 2k rounds of .223 yesterday in about 5 hours while I was watching movies.

I decapped sized and trimmed 1k of .223 yesterday evening at grammaton's on his 650. He's got the dillon trimmer, one head set with the trimmer/decap. With the case feeder it trims as fast as you pull the handle. Like I said, I'm jonesing now. I should've never drank the blue koolaid. He's got the giraud trimmer too, but the dillon is by far faster. 2-3 seconds a round.

Yeah, it's cheaper than the giraud and available. :) I'll probably add one to my loadmaster, eventually that will change to a 650, but not right away.

I am going to be honest with ya'll, I have not really used the Trimmer that much up until yesterday. My 12 year old niece is the master of trimming brass on the Giraud and she always uses it the way I have it. I did try to do it your way Capital but I did not really like it because I could not lean back and enjoy my movie. LOL.
