Two people shot while reportedly breaking into midtown apartment
From Stan Oklobdzija:

Sacramento Police are investigating a shooting in midtown, where two people were wounded while allegedly attempting to break into an apartment Wednesday night at 17th and O streets, police said.

The shooting took place at about 9:51 p.m. at the Cove Apartments, 1708 O St., said Sgt. Laura Chase. Police arrived and found two men in their early 30s shot in the upper body. Both men's wounds are not life-threatening, police officials said.

The two men and another accomplice were allegedly trying to break into an apartment when someone inside shot them, Chase said. All three men were wearing masks, she said.

Police are continuing to investigate the shooting.

We either need to get the shooter into a pistol class, or upgrade his weapon.
All the perps have now is a scar to brag about while they rob the next house.

All the perps have now is a scar to brag about while they rob the next house and an expensive lawsuit to lodge against the homeowner.

Fixed it for you.

We really need a law that prevents people from suing for something that happens while they commit a crime (homeowner shoots them, they cut themselves on glass from a window they broke, they didnt make enough, etc). Also, I hear in Texas, if you lose, you pay the defendants legal fees. GO TEXAS!

On the bright side it doesn't look like the SacBee called the bad guys "gunshot victims" which happens on SF TV and in the Chron all the time.

True, but until they start calling folks like them "oxygen thieves", there's still room for improvement. :D
