Winchester 7.62x51 NATO

Hi Gang,

I'm looking into buying some of this ammo. 147 gr FMJ NATO. The Winchester code is Q3130. I'm concerned that the steel jacket under the copper plating will not pass a magnet test.

The place I plan on buying from tested one while I was on the phone and stated no magnetic attraction. I would hate to either attempt a return or get stuck with it.

If anyone has any of this ammo handy I would sure appreciate a comfirmation one way or another.

Better safe than sorry. I'll continue to look at other options.

I have some copper washed / plated 7.62x51 that has a steel jacket underneath. The magnet sticks to the bullet. If you are trying to avoid having this happen, avoid that ammo IMHO.
