I actually got this via UPS a couple of weeks go, but I've been so busy with work and everything that I haven't had time to really touch it until this evening. (even at that, it was only for 20mins or so.)

Question for everyone, the flash muzzle/brake came attached to the upper. Why are the "slots/holes" only on the sides and tops of the muzzle? The bottom part of it is "solid." Wouldn't it make more sense to have the slots on the bottom to keep the 'flash' out of the eye of the shooter?

Here are a couple of quick pictures I took!

That's an A2 style FC. There are no slots on the bottom to help prevent dust from flying up from the muzzle blast when you are firing prone.

Hmm, wouldn't the muzzle blast/flash be in the shooters "field of vision" then? I guess the alternative is the dust flying up into your face from the ground though...

Can't say I've had noticed any blast coming out of an A2 before, you don't really see it. Didn't really notice any muzzle flash at night either.

A muzzle brake or compensator whatever you want to call it has a hole in the end just bigger than the size of the bullet.

The end of a flash hider will be wide open.

Brakes will help your follow up shots, flash hiders look cool and help your vision at night. Since I don't shoot at night I don't need them.
