Anything hidden in the Stimulus package that we should be aware of? Lots of speculation and paranoia out there.

No RKBA matters. I'm sure the NRA's radar detectors are on and we'd hear of it if issues were to arise.

If you open the PDF of it, you can search for certain keywords that would be of importance.

No results on:

There must be some opportunities for us to get access to some of the grant money in that. We are (or can make) a community-based organization that combats violence in our cities by providing education on gun safety and information about firearms rights. The whole RKBA movement is, in a sense, a violence prevention movement.

Yeah! The government keeping a centralized database containing every Americans medical record. So, no longer will there be doctor/patient confidentiality when it comes to your medical records. Big brother will know everything they need to know when deciding your medical care.

According to Betsy McCaughey at Bloomberg, provisions have been tucked into the Obama Federal Health Care Grab in Stimulus Billstimulus package that would, in effect, take the ability of making medical decisions away from doctors and grant them to the federal government. The health care provisions of the Obama stimulus package would create a national database that would track every person's medical records, including drugs they are taking and treatments they are receiving.

Oh! And I would like to give a shout out to all the Obama supporters who, for years, complained about Bush's ever intrusive wiretapping of our private lives.

Well, I celebrated the relief bill by buying another rifle and picking up a Blackhawk at lunch today. Between Mexico melting down, California right behind them and now Obama-nomics.......I figure we are going on a nice roller coaster ride for awhile.
I don't mid spreading my limited wealth when I get a nice firearm in return!

No hysteria, just a wait and see approach here and nothing wrong in being prepared for the worst.

All right, let's move this to the OT forum since there's no relevant gun matters involved.
