Bobby Rush's HR 45 (http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d111:h.r.00045:) (Blair Holt) has been referred to a subcommittee; still no cosponsors.

Mr Thune has introduced S 371 (http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d111:s.00371:), "to allow citizens who have concealed carry permits from the State in which they reside to carry concealed firearms in another State that grants concealed carry permits, if the individual complies with the laws of the State. " (Feb 3) 17 cosponsors.

Mr Scalise has introduced HR 1074 (http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d111:h.r.01074:) (Feb 13).

Remember that exception for buying long guns outside your state of residence? This bill would change that to 'firearm'. So, though this wouldn't help under current California law, this would be a positive change for most of the country.

Is the S 371 the same as HR 197?
