I know that just about everyone who has been to Reed's in the Bay Area has had a terrible experience. High prices, **** service, arrogant attitude, the works.
But I was just flipping through the list of guns they have for rent on their website and well...
Take a look at the very bottom.

According to this for 1000$ you can rent a GE minigun in .308, I hope that figure includes the cost of ammo.

At 3k RPM, $1000 worth of cheap .308 at $0.50/round would only last 40 seconds. It would be a long, exciting 40 seconds, but pretty pricey regardless!

Actually it would last a lot longer because you're only allowed to shoot 10 rounds at a time unless they have a high-cap chain.

And you're only allowed to fire one round every 3 seconds at their range, right?

Unless you're on the right side with prior approval.

The must have changed their rules regarding rapid fire as the first time I went in there I specifically asked if the was a wait between rounds and they said no.

There's a dirty joke regarding prostitutes in there somewhere....

It's much more expensive to shoot there than at the Firing Lines stores.

And your forgetting their 1 shot per 3 seconds rule. :p

I think you are confusing Reed's with TargetMasters.

I've shot quite a bit at Reed's. Never found them to be problematic in the slightest. I was never thrilled with their retail staff in San Jose, but the range staff in Santa Clara have always seemed to be pretty decent guys.
