If a California resident is in a gun store in, say, Arizona or Texas and sees a screaming deal on a handgun, is he allowed to purchase it in that state, or does it have to be transferred to a FFL in this State?
I'm wondering in particular about a gun that's not on the CA list of approved handguns.
TIA!

Buy from that state, ship it to your FFL, transfer in CA.

A CA FFL will transfer a handgun that's not on the list if it's shipped in from an out-of-state FFL?
