I just watched Detective Crews on the NBC show Life melt down the bullet that shot him and then reload it. When he reloaded it, he simply dipped the case into a bowl full of gun powder and filled it up and then packed it with a pencil.

Good times.

Don't you see, this is how easy it is to make your own cop killer bullets! This is exactly why we need to serialize ammunition!

Seriously, I hope some idiot doesn't try to duplicate.

well, according to reloading tables, you can pack a .223 case full of RL15 and never have too much to shoot a 55gr bullet...

I must be wasting my time using a spoon to scoop powder with. I should just dip my oily hand and a piece of brass into a bowl of powder and fill them up. Can I use the same powder for everything I'm loading. Will Goex ffffg work best?

That's the same way I do it, what's the problem?

That's the way it used to be done with black powder cartridges.

I do the same thing, with Winchester 231 in my .223 reloads while smoking. What could be the problem guys?

After seeing that, reloading looks much easier then I thought, I guess I don't need a fancy press and scale. I can pick up my reloading tools at walmart;

1. Ceramic Bowl
2. #2 Pencil
3. Pliers
4. Blow Torch/Flint Striker!

probably get everything for 29.83 after rollbacks! haha

My sister said to me, "You should reload your bullets since it's that easy." I just laughed.

I think she really meant it.

I hate Hollywood fiction. It is the #1 source of misinformation next to the news. That's why I only watch skinamax.

I didn't see it, but when certain uninformed people see my reloading room the comment most often said is:

"Don't you just fill up the bullet with powder?"

Or similar.

I think they need to serialize the grains of powder as you might end up using parts of pencils or old silver wear to circumvent the projectile serializing laws. You wills till have to use powder so I vote for serializing every grain of powder that has a microdot that is not burned up and is spread around whenever a bullet is expended.

That way barnaby jones and murder she wrote along with all those CSI's can identify the powder and trace it to your credit card then trace your ar$e via the cell phone you put on the credit card and that has GPS to catch you red handed.

I just started watching this show, saw this episode on Hulu. Glad I wasn't the only one groaning at that scene.

Anyone else see that episode where he pulls his duty weapon in the middle of a crowded cop's bar and shot three rounds into a door just to prove a point?

I still like the show; it is funny.
