View Full Version : Recomendation for a Bay Area PI firm

I need a Bay Area PI to track down someone that hit my car so I can have court papers served. Does anyone have any recommendations? I would rather not have to rely on ads in the phone book or Craigslist.

I know this probably the wrong subforum but I figured this forum gets the most viewing from attorneys and LEO's.

Perhaps Calgunner 11Z50 can provide a referral.

But shouldn't your insurance company be doing this legwork?

It's an old car so I only have liability insurance on it. I'll check with 11z50. Thanks for the tip!

I have had good results on background checks of employees and executives from Harris Investigations. Richard Harris is the PI, retired Oakland cop I think. Never met the man, only dealt with him over the phone maybe five times in the last few years. Seems a straight-up guy, though.

I should note he may work from home; his website lists a private mailbox address.

Anytime you guys need to locate someone, PM me. I can turn you on to some free info sources, but I subscribe to some excellent info sources and can usually locate just about anyone in a few hours. I can also now run DMV plates. Of course, I will give a liberal discount to Calgunners!
