If it chambers .410 shotshells and is less than 18", he's got a good point. If not, he's just chosen to severly limit his market.

There's a lot of Ca Haters. Even if it's legal some just wont sell here.

The general public in California are just as bad...

Cant blame them if all they where tought is FUD. If it wasnt for sites like this most would probally get all your knowledge in their local gunshop, and we all know how that goes ;)

It was .22 LR and .30-30

I heard repeatedly at out of state gunshows
"Nah, it's too hard to ship to CA."
Too hard?

If he is an FFL and also sells guns, could it have just been a case where he just did a simply copy and paste disclaimer? Try shooting him a friendly email and you may be surprised.

I found a guy last night that won't ship 62 gn .223 bullets here. Just the bullets, not loaded ammo.

This is just getting uber ridiculous. Do these idiots think we have gun koodies that will spread to them and take away their rights too?

dont even get me started on all of the people who say "no sales to Ca" on gunbroker. but then again there are the few good ones who are willing to work with you and be well within the law. I think people just fear the state :/

There has always been a grey area with the 62gn bullets because of the SS109. With the enhansed penetration issue. The first ar15 handgun started that mess because it was a pistol that could shoot a "cop killer bullet" by by SS109. The they said it was not ap so it was ok...then they said it wasnt...then i gave up watching...LOL

Too hard?

Too lazy is more like it. Reward the people who are willing to lift their pens one extra time to fill out the paperwork with your gun-buying dollars--they deserve our support!

Beating more dead horse (that's so sweet, Tony) response from the two gun broker dudes that had T/C barrels I wanted:

"We are not familar with CA's gun laws yet! Once we are we would not have a problem shipping them there as long as its legal. If you are the winning bidder we will do the proper and legal paperwork to ship your FFL the gun to CA. Please be patient!

Tom"

and

"Yes I will ship to you if there are no Restrictions
hutch3106"

so a lot of these guy shave =heard it's hard to sell here and are just automatically putting "No CA Sales" on the GB listings -- you just have to ask.

What's worse is a local Sacramento gunsmith & dealer who would not parkerize my 16" stripped AR barrel because "he didn't want anything AR in his shop". I'm learning to be patient with all the dumbf**ks out there who have no idea what the laws are & patronize only educated shops/vendors.

I refuse to buy from anyone on GB. You can find good, or better, deals on the many boards out there then you can at GB. Plus there is a lot less BS to deal with.

I went there to look for a Mini-14 since I haven't found any. Found the all-weather one with a 5 round mag and he said he wouldn't sell to California. Made me mad.

You make GB sound like it is a single company. It's individual gun owners, pawn shops and stores selling guns. Some will be jerks. Some are afraid of teh FUD, and we should educate. I have gotten some great guns on GB and sold many there to good people

just what paperwork did he think was required for barrels? what an ultramaroon! probably had to ask someone how to spell barrel for his ad.

I got a great deal on a new Steyr M9-A1 handgun on GB not too long ago so not everyone there is hard to deal with. The problem with GB is a lot of the goons on there have the misguided idea that refusing to sell to CA will actually help gun owners here. Don't go into their forums asking about CA unless you are prepared for a mind-numbing dose of vitriol and illogic from the goon squad.

Plus with GP Auctions coming, soon there will be no need :43:.
