Did the DRO's take that long or were you waiting for them to get back in stock also?

Congrats on the new lowers and good luck finding all the parts to build them.

Thanks I actually have everything I need to put them together, only thing I need is to reach out and ask for some help putting them together. As I have not put a lower together and I do not have punches or a castle nut tool. Also I have been told that it is more satisfying by building my own lowers then paying a shop to put them together for me :D

Sun Devils were out of stock and Irvington Arms had a buy in option for Sun Devil or Stag I went with the Sun Devils because they are Billet and look nicer to me ;) So yeah the original quote was 6-8 weeks what is more weeks to wait

Also thanks DevilDog ;)

It is a good thing you already have the parts! Putting them together is easy. Check out this link: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=4&t=226782
If you lived closer to me, I would give you a hand.

Thanks dude, I will be PM'ing some locals to see if they will be willing as these guys have publicly stated that they'd be willing to help out any locals that needed help assembling lowers. I have a friend also that is a good AR builder, but he is too much of a jerk to work with sometimes :( I would just like to build my lowers and have some fun learning and taking it easy.

Let me know if you need help. It isn't that hard if you have the right tools. ;)

Congrats Gio! I'm preparing for an AR build (although from the look of things I wont be building anything for months) and wanted to build it myself also. Did you get everything from Irvington Arms?

btw, this is 04Impreza from i-club

Hey sup dude, I am glad you finally decided to join us over here! Welcome to the club my fellow i-clubber

As far as getting my parts I looked online, I did however buy things from IA like the LPK, Magpul CTR Kit, MIAD Grip + Enhanced Trigger Guard and the Bullet Button which was replaced by a Raddlock instead. I bought the uppers used from other Cal Gunners, along with Mags, Ammo, Scope, Risers, pretty much a lot of things that I could of gotten from IA but saved a few bucks buying from the cool people here at Cal Guns instead :)

Finally picked up my lowers today. They were sequentially numbers which is kind of cool for me being my first and only lowers i will be buying ;) It took me a while but some masking tape and a beat up mini hammer got the job done :D I will post pics tomorrow, whew! There is a lot of work in just getting optics and little parts on there that look simple. I have never used optics before on any of my rifles so it is still new. Anyways I had a lot of fun doing it myself.

Thanks to this post http://www.calguns.net/OLL/assembly.html it helped me out a good bit. I also used youtube videos for reference, only so much you can get from looking at a still picture :D
