Girlfriend or wife ?

Its none of your gf's business imo what you spend on guns but don't lie to a wife.

we have a 7 month old baby. So it's a bit complicated. My excuse to her is that hey they will never go down in value. And it's true I bought my Saigas for $320 a few months ago and now they are at the $600 mark

That falls into the wife category for these purposes

Can you two afford for her to spend the same on whatever she is into?

Very nice AK's, dont pay any attention to where the AK was made cause the best, and the rarest are the ones that were made in Fresno. ;)

it's my money not hers and we do not live together. She can spend her money on what ever she wants.

What's the reason people buy a Saiga & change it into an AK type? Won't it be easier just to get/build an AK? Just curious.:)

very nice, I like! No need to seek approval from girlfriend on rifle purchase. but if she is your wife that means you earned it. and still don`t need to justify it. that the way I roll on that!

Don't feel guilty :) Sure you could've saved some money buying it back then but you have it now. As long as you didn't spend money you NEED to survive (say food/electricity/rent or mortgage/water) then you'll be fine. Trust me, once you get to shoot it, your guilty feeling will fly away. Nice find btw.

 Because that's about how much they're worth...

Unless you're background is in real estate... then, they're worth how ever much people are willing to pay.

Exactly.
I can't believe how much the fear-mongering has jacked up AK prices...

I really have about $160 in mine, but I'm including the extra $40 or so I paid to go to build parties as part of the rifle's cost.
