A full quote might be helpful.

"We SHIP to California IF it is LEGAL for you to own this gun in California."

So he just doesn't know CA law?

He doesn't have to, the potential buyer in PRK does.

What, you mean others don't know about the laws in our little country of Kalifornia?!..............:D

I see your point, Question answered.

also, that is typically cut and paste verbiage that they use and he is just saying that he will send to CA in general and not this weapon in particular. There are a number of folks on GB who simply refuse to deal with CA buyers so it's good to encourage those who do.

exactly. I read that and hear "If you live in Cali, and have a AW permit, or a police exemption, we can do business."

Remember folks, even actual/evil AWs are still legal in the state. Just not for most of us.

Which brings up an interesting point, small volume sellers or individuals are often unlikely to exactly know or care a whole lot about our laws, especially regarding mag capacity. I have no personal experience in the matter :whistling: but despite being told "Don't send it" I've heard of more than one hi cap mag being sent along with an out of state on line transfer - I think some CA FFLs have a can crusher mounted in their back rooms for such events.

If I'm not incorrect, could he not put a maglock on it and ship it legally without a magazine? Because it's a sporter, it's not on the list and it then only has one evil feature (the pistol grip).

"Norinco MAK-90" is a listed model

What's the confusion?

Check out his other ads. He puts that line in all of them. In other words, he supports CA gun owners, and will ship it to California, but it's the BUYER'S responsibility to know what is legal or not.

Soopafly- but wouldn't the Harrott decision, which demands a "specific" make and model mean that a "MAK-90 Sporter" is a different model than a MAK-90?

Yeah, after the attorney cost, and the psychological pain involved to argue such an issue as this nomenclature.....well I digress........:)

I also noticed that the ban list has a "Hunter" listed.
Was this like the sporter: no bayo lug, no flash hider, thumb hole stock, 5 rd magazine?
I don't know why they thought this config was so evil.
(cause' its a Kalashnikov right?)

There is no grey area. A "Norinco MAK-90 Sporter" is still a "Norinco MAK-90" and is specifically listed.

...but who am I to say? It's your cornhole...
