Is The new model name different enough/plus the other changes to bring it inot compliance to import to Cali?

the model is :AUGSA .223

Well the banned firearm is "Steyer AUG" (they didn't even spell Steyr right but that's probably irrelevant). AUG is not the same as AUGSA so technically it is not the same model name. This may be sufficient to carry the day in a court of law, but in the eyes of an uninformed LEO will it keep you from being arrested? I don't think anyone can answer that.

Why risk it? Get the MSAR with the RADDlock and be done with it. Cold war or Lanworld send them in already set up.

We can only use a 10 rd mag anyway - so interchangeability with Steyr mags doesn't mean much

Why would I want an out of spec msar when I could get the real deal?

One gets curious as to the price tag.

Out of spec with what? My MSAR shoots perfectly every time. It's not in spec with Styer (but that's b/c it's a different gun)

Then of course there's the whole IT'S A FELONY if you're wrong about the name being different than the one on the list. (details. . .details)

Anyone know of anyone who was actually brought up on charges for owning an AUG as a "listed" rifle? (as opposed to features). Does a Steyer=Steyr?
I have a MSAR and will be buying a USAUG for one reason: I don't own one.

Don't know off hand anyone is brought up on charges on the name game issue. But Steyr USR is CA legal version of AUG with the right configuration of course. ;)

Yup, another fun sporting rifle. Thanks again Radd for us keeping law abiding citizens out of prison with your clever compliant parts.
