I am looking to buy a flash suppressor for my Mini 14, I want it to be a blued M14 style, a mag lock so it is legal to use, and 20 round magazine repair kits. If anyone knows where I can buy any of those items some information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

your choice of course, but I'd say your priorities are screwed up if you're deliberately sacrificing the functionality of a legal meg-fed rifle just to chase a 'flash suppressor' (that doesn't eliminate flash, really)

You might have better luck with your quest at the fount of all things Mini-14 -

Also, once you put on the flash suppressor and mag lock, then you can no longer use those 20 round mags you plan on re-building.

If you owned the mags before the ban went into effect, then you can still use them.

You can not have a locked mag that holds more than 10 rounds.

I seen my friends mags and there are zero markings on his mags. Also how do they know you did or did not buy the mag before the ban went into effect?

OH so many laws are gonna be broken. Seriously as stated above learn the laws of centerfire guns with "evil features" first and then go from there. It either going to land you with a confiscated rifle because of ignorance or a perfectly good rifle that you are self-limiting because you want it to look a certain way. If you're going to dump money into something like that, just buy a kel-tec and call it a day.

I want all the evil stuff on my mini too, but I am NOT "willing" to lose my option of popping on my grandpas hand me down 15, 20, 30 and 40 round mags.

My grandpa's was a folder... I was younger so not sure if it was a AC556 but it was super cool looking.

I want mine to look like his but not liking the small mag deal...

And by chance mine came with a flash hider (modified) and it threw mad flash out... I had the Choate M14 style I think you want. Mine was stainless however. It's a nice looking deal... I made it just into a just a site now but it is no longer a flash hide...

Oh boy, this one has 'bust me' written all over it.

If you put the flash suppressor on a Mini-14 you MUST install a mag lock or be guilty of a crime.
and 20 round magazine repair kits.
Repair kits are just that, kits to repair EXISTING magazines. You CAN NOT reassemble them and end up with new magazines.
If you put a mag lock on your mini-14 you can not use a magazine that hold more then 10 rounds.
If anyone knows where I can buy any of those items some information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Make sure you know and understand the law before becoming an accidental criminal.

No, you can not buy preban magazines.
You can own them and use them IF you bought them BEFORE the ban.
If you buy them now, or if you buy repair kits and assemble them in to new magazines you have violated the law.

That muzzle brake can easily be considered a flash suppressor, it is actually marketed by the manufacturer as both.

I was just thinking after looking at the first links pics... Many will say that is a surpressor... Have I ever mentioned I hate California guns laws?

No. You either owned them before the ban and they are your's or you can't own them. Someone more knowledgeable than me can reference the pc that states such.

Yeah if you owned them before it is fine.. And you can buy rebuilds to re build your pre bans... But if you have 6 of them you can't end up with 12 after your "rebuild" And only use them on a featurless build... Not a so called "Evil by Californias" spec ie... pistol grip, flash surpressed, bullet button version...

I have heard that those qualify as flash hiders. I don't think they're worth the trouble.

http://www.thegunzone.com/ctd.html

The original manufacturer of the Mini-14/30 accessories, John Masen Company under the "Black Warror" label, describes those items as a "Flashider."

"…will also act as a flash suppressor." The language for the #RGR-350 Mini-14 accessory read slightly differently: Non-Factory muzzle brake combo reduces muzzle flash. Easy install. Just drift sight pin, slip on, install new longer pin. USA Manufacture, in steel nickel plated. When installed this item will greatly reduce muzzle climb as well as flash signature when the rifle is fired.

I'm hoping you meant "can't end up" with 12 there and it was just a typo. You can only end up with as many mags as you started with. If you have 6 mags from before the ban you can only have a total of 6 mags after you rebuild them. Lots of bad information in this thread.
