I just finished processing 1000 cases of LC 308 brass with no problems. Now I am doing misc. range brass in .223. The range sells PMC so a lot of the cases are PMC. It looks like they have a crimp. I started using a RCBS die and the decapping pin kept breaking so I got Lee dies. Now, every time I try and deprime PMC brass the decapping rod gets pushed up. Why is it doing this? It worked just fine with the .308.
Is it boxer or berdan primed? All of the crimped brass I've punched out never gave me problems like that.

I had that issue, I just tightened the top nut thing more. Fixed it.

I'll try that. I had it really snug but I'll see if I can get it tighter. Thanks.

LOL Maybe that makes more sense now, when I lent you the dies I hadn't used them yet.

The decapping pin on Lee dies are suppose to go up to avoid braking the pin. Just tighten the nut and your good.

Haha. I bought a set after I used yours. Things are cheap, but work perfect

I use my lee to deprime everything now. I learned the hard way that those pins just dont break, sometimes they bend the shaft, giving you an off center ball.
