I've always wanted a 1911 and, even though I really don't need it right now, I just can't think of a better day to go buy one. It just seems so much more appealing than watching the inauguration or listening to people chant "Yes we can!" all day.

I've also always wanted a 1911, and I wanted to buy one before today. I doubt that BHO & the bottomless tie-dyers in the Capitol will be able to ban them outright, especially with Heller, but if they try, it will be an uphill battle for both sides...

I plan on buying a Kimber today... wish OakTree or Uncle Pauls were open today... but probably end up at Turners or something.

I not only am buying the kimber because ive wanted it but because i want the date/history of buying this firearm. This could be the begining of a lot of "Change"...

I also plan on dropping $100 to each the CalGuns Foundation and NRA (not a lot to some, but its what i can do for now).

AND im going to go shoot today to blow off some frustration...

I am torn between the last two poll choices. I did a majority of my buying before the panic, depending on whom you ask I do or do not have enough guns(I ahave been told I only have two hands), I am waiting for prices to drop, also with the economy in the state it is in, I need to save a few extra bucks. On a side note, I am still in my 30 day prison sentence, and have not found any PPT's I am interested in so for now the bank account is somewhat safe.

Of course they care if they lose control of any branch of government. Look how hard they fought against bush's court nominations based on a desire to lose their stranglehold on the judiciary. Look at how much of a big deal they made about holding both branches of the legislature after last years elections. This is the source of power for a political party, it is of utmost importance to the party, more so than any one seat (other than POTUS.)

As luck would have it I ended up buying on inauguration day. I didn't plan on it. I didn't even plan on visiting a shop. It all just happened. And when I saw the nickle Firestar in the consignment case that was it! My wallet saw that Spanish pistol in 40 S&W and screamed bloody murder. Yes I killed a few Benjamins today! :)

(But only a few and it's more like to went traveling to someone else's bank account than actually dying.)

The only gun I have bought recently is a C&R 1895 Nagant revolver. I think I might buy a California Legal SKS in the next week or so, but won't go completely crazy if the price is to high.
