When I found in the 9th Circuit's museum-hallway that one Judge Ogden Hoffman Jr. was a prominent NorCal 9th-Circuit judge, I thought that an excellent omen for a good result in Nordyke.

Your ancestor, Gene? I see a resemblance!

Heh.

I don't think so but I do admit that we haven't done as much genealogy on my father's side as on the rest of my family.

Gene, is that Churchill in your avatar picture? In my mental image, that's exactly what you look like, and I'm leery about meeting you someday because I don't want to spoil the image. :p

Edited to add:
P.S.: I look just like my avatar picture. ;)

The avatar is Churchill. Be careful as there are photos of me running around from Nordyke arguments on the board :chris:

I probably saw the pictures, but it's OK because I didn't know which person is you! ;)

P.S.: Wanna come down to the benefit dinner that Matt is putting together so that you can spoil my mental image? :p

He is the one outside the Fed Court house with a top hat and a thompson standing next to me open carrying in my kilt :p.

Oh, they didn't post that one :(

Yes, trousers are anatomically incorrect (and too restrictive) for real men :p

So that rumor is true?

It is, but perhaps for a different version of 'open carry' than you might expect. Fortunately, it wasn't windy.... :D

(No, no kilt. I'd forgotten about that.)

Hrm... I guess I've been in violation of 12031 and 12025 all this time...

I was certainly 12031 all night but with the company I met and the topics we discussed I was never able to 246.3 . Although one bartenderette did have the option to choose between Ben's plane, Gene's boat, or my ability to sign off on any fix-a-tickets she gets! :chris:

Aw...I missed that? I could have closed the deal with a three-legged dog.

I drive a mini-van. Clearly unloaded.

"Gene's boat"

So he finally bought the Hornet? Clearly compensating for something, there. :p
