My first keeper of the year, a 49 1/2" 35 pounder. It was one fun fight, lasted about 15 maybee 20 munites. This fat female gave up about 18-20lbs of clean white sturgeon meat, and about half will be getting fried up tomarrow.:D

We wer out yesterday and my cousin hooked in to one that we faught for an hour and a half. When we got it to the boat the head was almost the size of a basketball, The beast was at least six feet long and right when we wer trying to snare the tail it shook and snapped his rod in half and broke the 65lb test braided line.

I was fishing with my grandpa when I was 8. He caught a Stugeon that was just under 6 feet tall and weighed 103lbs.

I'll never forget that day. Haven't ever fished since though. :(

Very nice, hows the strippers out there? I havent gone fishing in the delta for a while. I usually goto Martinez but the last year they seem to have left the area.

The striper action is slow as hell right now. Last month this time Iwas catching atleast 10 fish a day with a few shaker sturgeon and flounder in the mix. Usualy in the spring and late fall the striper action is hot all over the delta, even hotter if you have a fishfinder.

damn youre lucky man. I drive out to your neck of the woods all the time to fish in the delta but I dont have a boat so fishing from shore only leads to minmial sucess. Only ever caught 1 sturgeon in my life, and that was when I was 12. Wanna sell me some of the meat? :)

Good catch in the slot limit.

scotthmt,
Wanna sell me some of the meat?

Don't even play like that. You both could get in BIG trouble.
