After oral arguments in Nordyke v King (http://wiki.calgunsfoundation.org/index.php/Nordyke_v._King), The Calguns Foundation is hosting a dinner event at the Market Street Grill (http://www.marketstreetgrillsf.com/main/msg-home.asp?p=1) in Hotel Whitcomb (http://www.hotelwhitcomb.com/).

The cash bar should open shortly after the argument has ended. The Hotel Whitcomb is a short 2 block walk from the courthouse. Tickets are $50 per person and will be available at the door but we would prefer that you purchase tickets online at the link below and bring a copy of your receipt. The menu is a choice of chicken, prime rib, or a vegetarian option.

Dinner will be served at 6:30PM. Don Kilmer and Don Kates will hold a brief panel style discussion of the case and the oral argument following dinner. The Hotel Whitcomb is offering rooms for approximately $100 that night.

Tickets and a map (http://calgunsfoundation.org/main/index.php/events/38-events/64-nordykedinner) are available on the CGF site.

The Hotel Whitcomb is at 1231 Market Street, San Francisco, CA 94103.

Wish I could make it. If it wasn't for the Shot Show, I'd be there.

Gene...any update with C-SPAN?

I'll raise my glass to toast you all nevertheless.

C-Span is filming but I haven't gotten an update on whether it runs live and on what channel. At this point I think the best course of action is to look at C-Span.org the morning of.

511.org will give you all the public transit links you need.

Take BART from SFO to Civic Center. Short walk to the courthouse.

Tomorrow's schedule isn't even on their website yet, except for the Rutherford B Hayes marathon on C-Span3. :punk::lurk5:

At the door we'll definitely take cash or checks. We may be able to take credit cards or paypal via paypal as well.

I believe we will have name tags for forum handles/real names.

Another big question:
What are the rules on what gets into the court house with you?
I'm gonna have a laptop bag with me that I'm not going to check in anywhere and leave it up to whoever.
Would that be allowed in the courthouse on my person?

I did a reconnoiter this past week. You can bring your mobile phone or laptop in. During the actual hearing and in the actual courtroom they will ask you to turn it off. If we overflow into the cafeteria for closed circuit TV, you can use the web to live blog. The Marshalls told me that they'd overflow into another courtroom first but I'll get more details on that as we get closer.
