What's the difference between an Imbel CA FAL rifle and your standard, government or other FAL rifle? Sorry, newbie question.

Can anyone explain the differences? Is an Imbel receiver better?

Imbel is the Brazilian FAL version made by Industry Material Bélico

So no better or worse, just a different country of origin?

FALs. They're just like AKs....many different countries and configurations. Imbel receivers make quality FAL's. They're also no longer imported so get it if you find it.

Imbel receivers are some of the best made. I would only buy a DSA or an Imbel, but prefer the Imbel.

Its kind of confusing. The Fals we make are made with our receiver on an Imbel kit. Imbel receivers (which we do not have) are highly desirable among Fal enthusiasts.

Our CA rifles have the magazine fixed in place with a set screw, and the dustcover is cut back to make top loading much easier.

We are not making the Government Fal anymore. The only rifles we offer is the Standard which has the "Imbel look" with a 21" barrel, a carbine with a 16.5" barrel
