I've had 2 in .45acp full sized steel frame.
Usually reasonably priced and great shooters!
Never one problem with the ones i've had.

If you like it, look into the CZ-75B and IMI Jericho (aka the Baby Eagle)

None of EAA's semi auto handguns are in the CA approve list. Too bad because they have some real nice line of guns. CZs are excellent alternative, but I kind of like EAA's Limited, Gold and Stock models. If you can find a used one for sale get it. The only problem I heard of was the slide stop prone to breaking on the 40S&W chambered models, mainly from IPSC shooters that shoots thousands of rounds through their guns. I'm thinking the 10mm would have the same problem even if it uses the larger frame. I have a Tanfoglio 9mm and it is a very accurate and reliable pistol.

It's an (improved??)Italian copy of a CZ 75 B. Highly regarded in IDPA and USPSA shooting. NOT CA friendly.

Look into armscor pistols. They are made from witness parts and they are on the list. http://www.armscor.com.ph/tanfoglio.htm Mark

Thanks for the heads up guys!... i really liked the way it felt and shot... doubt he would sell it but looks like i'll keep an eye out for one and a CZ75b as well

Don't forget about the Baby Eagle, great gun and very underrated, you might just like it better than the CZ, I did.

This is however very interesting, anyone seen one of these out in the wild?

Centerfire systems has them.

Last time I check centerfire system don't deal with our kind. Might need to go through 3rd party.

Hmm, maybe a moot point anyway. It looks like, of the models Centerfire has in stock, only the polymer framed models are on the list :(.

These italian made (as well as the israeli mfg.) CZ 75 copies are really under estimated. So, you get a terrific shooter at a sleeper price.

My personal fave is the compact size 9mm with the polymer frame. I bought it and immediately put my full size up for sale.
