I know they manufactured about 110K rifles in 2006 and that they are located at 110 8th St. Brooklyn NY. What rifles are the manufacturing?

It's not just a curious question but somewhat important so if anyone can enlighten me it would be appreciated.

http://www.joepennsy.com/longguns

AR-7 INDUSTRIES LLC

SOLD TO ARGUS PUB in 2004

But cheaper than dirt has this listed
http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/EveryGun/GunMfgDetail.aspx?id=13
AR-7 INDUSTRIES, LLC
Previous manufacturer 1998-2004, and located in Geneseo, IL. Previously located in Meriden, CT, from 1998 to early 2004.
In February 2004, AR-7 Industries LLC was purchased by ArmaLite, Inc., and recent manufacture was in Geneseo, IL.

Ok. that address resolves to Henry Repeating Arms.

Ok, Henry Repeating Arms makes complete sense for nearly 10% of all rifles in 2006.

Thanks Jack!

This the best I can do as of right now:

Argus Publications Inc.
110 8th Street
Brooklyn, NY 11215-3116

Phone number (718) 499-5600

FFL: 6-11-xxx-xx-xx-34915 (ATFeZCheck shows it as invalid - expired perhaps?)

Appears to own Henry Repeating Arms Company and it seems the Henry 07 FFL is issued to Argus Publications. Produced 573,480 firearms from 1998 to 2006 and was within the top 7 list of manufacturers for all those years. Argus acquired AR-7 Industries LLC in 2004.

I'll keep looking, but I don't think I can find much more than that with my Google-fu

Hmm, I thought Henry Rifles were run out the of John Jovino's famous NYC gunshop and that it was owned by a guy named Imperato....

My timing may be off and that may be old data, dunno.

Yes, Henry makes a lot of "Yellow boy"/"Golden boy" rifles in 22LR and 44

From your link, The company also owns a gun factory in Brooklyn, the only one in the city, which makes Colt M1911 pistols and reproductions of American Civil War-era Henry rifles.[3]
Sounds like its linked.

Argus Publications used to be a CA entity that published Popular Hot Rodding magazine, among other titles.

Why they would buy a gun company without using a LLC or captive corp, I have no idea...

"Complainant is McMullen Argus Publishing Inc., New York..."

Primedia, which owns McMullen Argus, is a mega-big corporation...
