I was wondering what paper target models do the two departments use in the academy? for evaluation?

How about Los Angeles Division FBI? ATF?
Planning on careering in law enforcement, so I just wanna keep things in routine.
Anyone in LE know?
Thanks in advance!

The shooting range I go to (OC indoor) PDs will bring live size card board and spray paint a human shape outline on it.

Oaktree has LE qual targets for the Sheriffs I believe.
The CHP just have to hit the back of the hillside.

We used B27 targets and IALEFI "Q" targets. Also shot "Hollywood" targets, photo images of various suspects.

You kidding? Shooting it at 25 yards turning target qualifying course, plenty of people could not qualify with 210 out of 300.
This is from TV show called LAPD: Life on the beat withc aired about 10 yrs ago. I read their qualification course somewhere(handgunlaws.us ?) and seemed to be the same one. Don't know if they changed it or not though.

Yup! That is the LAPD qual target, but it has changed slightly. The layout and ring scores are the same, however, the coloring had changed. Different shades of blue are now used.
The qual course has stayed the same for at least the last 25 years. If you REALLY want to know, I can find out if it has been longer.

Geez, I always thought it was the B-21. I'm so off. Thank for the help!

Its usually for the larger agencies at 25yds not feet and timed for various positions including weak hand.
I would say that 80% of the people that shoot do so at between 20-30ft even if the range goes out farther.

B27 is a standard for practice.
POST uses this one in many of their academies for qualification: http://www.letargets.com/estylez_item.aspx?item=COCOSO-1CB
