View Full Version : NRA Classification Card

I recently got into high power and have shot a few of the NRA high power matches with the SMGC over the past year. How do I get an NRA Classification card? Do you have records for my matches at SMGC? I tried sending an e-mail query through the SMGC website, but the form returned an error each time I filled it out.

The NRA will send it directly to you. :)
You should have received a card if you fired at least 120 rounds for record *AND* the scores from those matches have been reported to the NRA.
The SMGC has been pretty good reporting scores to the NRA.
You can lookup your classification online via:
Just plug in your NRA number and it'll come up. Any formats where you have not shot a match in will not show up. If you fired in a match in a specific format, but don't have enough rounds for record to get an initial classification will show up as "UNCLASSIFIED". If you do have enough rounds in a specific format, it will show your class next to to the format/program type.
If the NRA has nothing on record for you, you can contact the NRA Competitions dept and ask them what scores they have reported for you.
They're actually pretty good at responding to questions.
If the NRA says they don't have any scores for you, or are missing scores for matches you shot in, then you should email Matt K or whoever is handling the Stats to see what's up.

Oddly enough, the day I posted my inquiry on here, my classification card showed up in the mail. Just plain weird. Thanks ya'll for the advice.
