I'm at about 1200 rounds or so right now. I think I will need another 1k to feel comfortable.

How much do you have?

Well, I lost all my guns in a terrible boating accident so I donated all of my rounds to charity.

I alway have at least two rounds. Then again, I have "enough" powder, primers and projectiles to load a few more. Seriously, I probably only have a little over 2000 rounds loaded right now.

I hope that TEOTWAWKI doesn't happen before I get a chance to restock! ;)

OTOH, I have 400 rounds of Greek M2 for my newly acquired M1 Garand. :D

I don't generally feel the need to have eleventy-billion rounds on hand. If something is on sale, sure, I'll buy a bunch. Otherwise not. Sometimes I run out. :)

The only CG-approved answer to that question is: NOT ENOUGH! :)

For 5.56mm, 200 rds of XM193 (dedicated minimum for short-term SHTF), 150 rds of Rem UMC, 200 rds of reloads

.22lr, 2000 rds Rem bulkpack, 400 rds. MiniMags

9mm, 50 rds Rem Golden Sabers, 250 rds Rem UMC, about 300 rds of reloads (mix of FMJ and moly-coated lead)

I don't have any. Guns are not my thing, so when I'm forced to shoot them, I just buy it at the range. Storing ammunition at home is dangerous, and should only be considered as the last resort.

Whatever the guns likeand doesn't cost too much, I think. That's what others do, anyway. I don't stockpile myself.

I bought 1k of M855 just before the election. While I don't think that our new king will be able to ban all military calibers, as some fear, I do think he might be able to expand the ATF definition of AP. I just want to be sure that if I'm ever facing thugs in body armor I'll be prepared. That's all that I'm really "stockpiling".

Other than that, I have about 50 rounds of 9mm JHPs for my home defense gun, and whatever was left over from the last range trip (right now, 180 .223, couple hundred 9mm, 400+ .22, handful of .380). Oh, and 100 12GA target loads that were supposed to be used for our last sporting clays trip that got cancelled on account of rain. Still bummed about that.

WTF? Is that your way of being cryptic about what you have so nobody knows? Why are you here if guns are NOT your thing? I ask again WTF?

BUt if your doing cuz of that... Well I like your style and that is my answer also... WOO HOO!! :)

Not Enough I guess :D I still have to to get my lower from IA and then put it all together, I have everything for the AR except for the stripped lower :( I bought a .50Cal can with 850 rounds in it, well it had 1,000 but original buyer used 150 rounds. I actually counted every single roound in the box lol! Actual counts is 852 :D that should be enough for a while, stil looking to score another 500 or more just in case.

Also since others went off topic and said what other ammo they have I will follow the trend. I have 1,000 rounds for my .45 as well, I love to shoot it at the range :) In the first 2 weeks of owning it my dad, brothers, and friends and myself put 1,058 rouonds through her :43: I feel another 1,000 or so rouonds should do the trick :)

i dunno how much .223 my dad has in the shed, but i saw about 4 - 6 1000k round ammo cans full, and and we have about 20 + 1000rnd ammo tins stacked in the garage taking up all the shelvs, in all different size calibers

i just picked up 1k of each 223 and 9mm recently as well

I have 3 or 4 rounds of .223

Seeing how .223 doesn't go through walls (easily), doesn't stop haji, and doesn't penetrate modern body armour, and takes multiple direct hits to stop a zombie, I'll stick to more manly calibers in the .30 cal range.
