Possibly the best RKBA news I've heard all week. At least Jerry Brown has a shot now!

Feinstein's promotion was welcome news for other state Democrats as well as Republicans who plan to run for governor in 2010. The 75-year-old senator has flirted with the idea of running for governor but has told friends and allies she would be unlikely to make a bid if she got the top post at Intelligence.

It boggles my mind that she can clearly violate the rules in the Senate Ethics committee and still have her job. Was she punished or censured in any way with regards to her transgressions? Does she have something on the Republicans that would prevent them from going after her?
