Bullet button plus a muzzle extension (+1") or a fixed stock and you're good to go... if you can get one.

What about the 18" barrel model? You should not need a fixed stock for that one???

OAL with the stock folded is 29". Needs one more inch to be CA-legal for a semi-auto centerfire rifle.

Did Magpul copy this rifle completely when designing the MASADA? Why do they look so similar?

Happens a lot in all walks of life... convergent design. People see what's already out there and extend to something new and ingenious in parallel with others, which can lead to similarities in what's new. Happens often with cars & fashion.

The XCR looks pretty similar to them, too.

Happens all the time. A good example I can think of right now is the F-117A. There was another group working on the same type of project (stealth intelligence aircraft/bomber) and when doing radar cross-section testing, one of the engineers working for the .Gov who had seen both designs, asked Lockheed if they copied the second teams design.

Mind control.

Happens all the time. Like when people say the exact same thing at the exact same time.

Another good example is the Concorde supersonic commercial jet and the Soviet Tu-144.

It's hard to trace back and say who copied who, but rather who's work the best and are the most successful.

now the real question is when will the SCAR be commerically available?
