Let's say the Obama administration enacts a new AW ban that is permanent... would it most likely allow for a grandfather clause (meaning those who already own one can keep theirs)? And if AW's are going to be confiscated, would we be compensated for the estimate value of the gun?

How many Angels can dance on the head of a pin?

The previous federal ban allowed the continued posession of "AW's" without registration. Whether an OLL would even meet the new definition of an AW is questionable. Confiscation/buy back seems unlikely.

Seriously. It would depend on the interpretation of this "so called" new law which I personally doubt will be enacted. Gun confiscation in the USA will never happen unless you're a criminal.

Dude is certainly not new here, he's been a member since Jan of '06, almost 3 years.

Dude needs to take remedial critical thinking. Crystal balls don't really tell the future.

Yeah I joined back in '06 when I first got into guns but my interest in guns died off and I never really checked the forums here until recently. I only own and shoot handguns but just got started with a Ruger 10/22 and am interested in acquiring an AR-15.
