Hey all,

I have the opportunity to purchase this Cetme kit from a member of a differnt forum I am on, and want your opinion.

The kit was sitting in his basement and apparently got damp so it is covered in surface rust. Is this kit still desireable or even usable? Seller says the rust looks worse than it is in the pictures. If i get it, i'll probabbly media blast everything to remove the rust.

Also, is there a bullet button or equivelent for these type rifles?

He is asking for $500.

What say ye?

It looks like it should clean up ok..

that is a G3 receiver not a CETME though.. should work but has different sights.

If you have access to a blast cabinet and a park tank it could be quite nice.... also the fact that its not a stainless steel receiver should make assembly a bit easier...

I guess prices reflect the current trend... A year ago I'd have said try to negotiate to around 375 ish... but nowadays 500 is more than fair. (IMHO)

I paid 475 for a similar parts kit with a cetme receiver and an A3 stock (going to do a 93 clone someday)

good guns, I wish I'd gotten a chance to put mine togeather and shoot it before I had to go to school.

I can't believe these kits are going for so much now, it's as bad as the G kits. I picked up a Cetme kit with the original barrel for $79 about a year and a half ago from MGS, I didn't even want it but bought it on impulse. Now I wish I'd bought five,... and a couple of pallets of G kits.
