Hello,

Putting my first lower together tonight, and I can't get the selector in.

I'm inserting it from the left side (opposite the BB) pointing up.

I can force it through the left side of the receiver, but it is very tight. Looks like the back of the trigger partially blocks the hole, about 1/64" (hammer is cocked).

Once I force it 1/2 way through, the difference cant's the selector and it doesn't line up with the hole in the right side of the lower.

Stag LPK in a CMMG lower.

Been messing with it for about 90 minutes, and I've resigned to ask your help.

Thanks.

Did you already put the trigger in? If so, Take it out.

You need to put it in before the trigger.

+1 I don't see how I could slip the trigger in under the selector.

Leave the grip loose and you will be able to rotate the selector more

You can...

Take the hammer off full cock. The hammer being in is preventing the trigger's tail end from resting on the bottom of the receiver and causing it to block the path of the selector switch. If that doesn't work, remove the hammer only, leave the trigger in.

And if that doesn't work, yes you can put in the selector 1st then the trigger.

I think.

Riflegear: CMMG 16" MidLength Specter Upper.

Good choice. I got CMMG 16" Mid-Length Med Con upper from Riflegear a couple months back.
