Has anyone here converted any Thompson 30-round sticks into 10/30's? How would you go about blocking the mag well, or attaching a limiter to the underside of the follower plate?

It's hard to explain in words but essentially you would measure off where 10 rounds + follower stop and chop into the back of the mag body and wedge some metal in there and weld it back up (make sure follower is above the weld). Then add the spring and baseplate and you have your self a 10 round Thompson mag. There are other ways to do it but this method would be permanent as opposed to other methods out there. If you search for my Thompson thread you can see what the mags look like after they are done.

Do you have a source for 30rd stick mag rebuild kits? I bought 2 ten round mags at a gun show a few years ago that had been cut in half with the floor plate welded in place. I don't recommend doing this but it works.
