Thanks man, Ive been checking around the web but I'm struggling to find any in stock. How much did they used to be (summer) and how much do you think they are now?

Good quality ones this summer and before ran about $500-650. At current prices expect to spend at least $700 on a mediocre one on the open market due to supply far outstripping demand.

ammo bros might have them, I saw a rpk there. the rpk are pretty decent shooters. a little heavy. they are made mostly for bench or ground shooting. Im sorry but they are getting really scarce. The industry is raping us by charging , I kid you not, up to 1800.00 for them.

That makes me want to build one of my RPK kits and sell it. I'd make $$$$.

Why won't they work? Listed? Sidefolder? Under 30" OAL? Barrel isn't 16" or longer?

You could always build an AK from a receiver and parts kit. Prolly save you a lot of money.

Has anyone tried buying an ak through overland industries? And it looks as if the build and parts is only $250. That can't be right...

I would hold off on buying one unless you're trying to beat the AWB. Otherwise you're gonna overpay for whatever you get. Try to get a Saiga, as I think those are better anyways.

I'm not sure, but I think the build is $250. You provide the parts and the receiver.

lancaster arms are 700-800, about a 30 day wait, great rifles though, not sure on the synthetic furn, may have to retro fit

Lancaster offers synthetic furniture as an optional item on their classic and standard model lines (for a few dollars more). My preference was the Russian red furniture, which Lancaster does a great job at finishing. Either way, they are a very well made classic AK platform and well worth the 30-day wait.

I got mine at Enterprise Arms in Irwindale last week with synthetic furniture and a railed upper. However, I bought their last 1 until at least March and paid about $1000 for it. I know you cant get on their waiting list, but I have no idea how long that list is now.
