To other FFL's regarding PO Box on purchases

We've had quite a few customers come in lately with a PO Box on their D/L.

We accept it with a valid car registration/PG&E or SMUD bill/voter card that has the physical and current address of the buyer.

We have also had many come in and complain that Wild Sports allows the buyer to purchase a hunting or fishing license and use that as a valid form. We however do not allow this.

What are your thoughts, policies or actions on such issues?

You are doing it correctly. Wild Sports is not.

BTW, The new yellow 4473 now uses Line 20b to enter what secondary ID/papers were used to establish the correct address.

Isn't # 20b only for "Aliens" or does it now inc. all buyers? I haven't seen the new yellow ones but one I have from 2007 says "Aliens" under 20b. Did the 4473 revert back to the old yellow paper again?

The new (yellow) 4473 requires a second form of ID with your address on it if your state-issued DL / ID card has a PO Box listed as the address

To the OP- you're good to to. Wild Sports is violating the law. Don't let the ignorant pressure you into violating the law.
