A friend of mine just picked up a gun today he bought ten days ago. It is a Stoeger Luger .22 and it has an 11 round magazine. Is it legal to have this? It was on consignment if that matters.

I have a photocopy of the factory booklet and it says 11. .22lr I've used both golden and cci minimags.

No, he can't buy the 11 round magazine with the gun. Are you basing the info on what the manual says?

Well, if he has the magazine now, he technically hasn't committed a crime. The person who sold him the gun could be in trouble. Since this is public now (dumb), my advice would be to make the issue known to the dealer and get a 10 round mag in place of the 11 round mag. :rolleyes:
