Give me a break. Obama isn't going to confiscate all of our guns for at least four years. He'll wait until the final days of his first term if he doesn't get reelected, or the early years of his second term if he does. But he certainly isn't going to do it at the start of his first term! Pleeeease!

You don't need a "mandate" to start printing the Constitution on toilet paper. History will repeat itself.

I don't know about you but i have already broken out the tinfoil hat:TFH: before the election. I am sure Obama, Clintion along with the former staff of the old clintion adminstration and the Democrats will eye the 2nd amendment as a target. The republicians are just as much as a threat but thankfully the democrats do not have total control.

Maybe it's time for tinfoil under shorts... that way you can cover your ***... I guess the hat does that too, for some people... :TFH:

Might not have to do the banning and confiscation part. I'd bet he'd simply tell them to shut down more FFL's via inspection to death, be super super picky about anything they can say no to, etc. Of all the crappy times to be stuck in a non-NFA tolerant state...

With about 50 percent of households owning firearms, confiscation might slightly exceed the BATFE's resources (and be pretty darn exciting). I would expect the strategy to be a slow squeeze of the firearm "system" with the goal of eliminating private firearms over a generational time period.

That's why he wants to create the "civilian security force."

You mean from the other 50% of the population?

You know: the part of the population that doesn't like guns? :D

And, by the way, that "50%" value is a wild-assed guess. No one really knows how many people in America own guns, or where those guns are. This is as it should be.

My machinist buddy's nephew's step son knows a guy who's brother in law.......

I wouldn't doubt a meeting, the subject I am sure is pure tin foil hat.

How could they posibly be any more "picky" than they are now?:chris:

I tend to agree with you here. Indeed, The Sec Def, Gates said on a national news program that he met with Obama in a fire station at National Airport when Obama asked him to stay on.

I do have to ask why Obama would have a secret meeting with ATF now. In just over 30 days he will be able to pick up the phone and tell them to do whatever he wants them to do.

ok.. did some beadblasting for a project for Ivanimal at my buddy's shop today and I asked my buddy about where he had heard this obama/atf stuff and he said he heard it on the AM radio show 'Coast To Coast" around 2am last Wednesday night.

How could they posibly be any more "picky" than they are now?:chris:By being as picky in other states as they are here. The majority of places don't have all their FFL's as heavily harassed as a state like this where the ATF is the DOJ's pet pit bull. Quite a few states' DOJ's actually dislike the ATF--Montana's or Wyoming's outrightly told them they weren't welcome there.

OK...since this is the same radio show that talks to people who have full time jobs looking for Big Foot, who have been abducted by aliens and other paranormal (paraniod) stuff, I will take the ATF meeting with a grain of salt. If you ever want some good entertainment listen to this show. I am convinced that some of the callers are actors on staff who are stirring the pot. It is the AM radio version of the Weekly World News.

However, I am not going to fool myself that Obama and his gang are not going to do whatever they can to lay the groundwork for the demise of the Second Admendment. My money is on Billery working through the UN for a global gun ban and sell out of the USA.

International treaties that violate the US constitution are not binding. The most she can do is stop the importation of guns and ammo. In which case, I'm sure enterprising Americans will just figure out how to make even more guns and ammos within this country.

There's no question that things can get bad with Bill Clinton II about to be in office. But it isn't like we're helpless or without resources to fight back.

Back when coast to coast am was hosted every night by art bell like 7 or more years ago it was great. Silly, entertaining etc. There actually was a guy that called in one night which admitted to 'playing' several of the characters including the guy who supposedly flew over area 51 while talking to art on the show as well as the guy who was in the 'men in black mental institution place' or whatever. Art asked him to prove it and to do some of the voices,, which the guy did absolutely perfectly and that pretty much ended the conversation and I suspect really embarrassed Art. Guy said he was a struggling actor by the way and loved playing characters on the show just for fun :)
