Ammo to buy? Need help!?

Hi,
My friend is going to become a cop in a few months and I wanted to get him some .40 ammo for his on duty gun. So you know the purpose of the ammo. Can anyone please help me with some recomendations on ammo? Thanks for the help guys. BTY the cost of the ammo is not important.

He'll probably be given his ammo for his duty weapon and must use only that. Unless maybe its a really small town.

I believe most of them use winchester ranger hollowpoints, but I'm not sure if the general public can just buy it? it saws law enforcement.

he is going to be working for san bernadino county sheriffs. I guess ill have to check if he can use any ammo. Thanks for the help guys.

Stick with Win Ranger SXT, and yes it says LE Ammo. The public can still buy it.

cool guys!!! Thanks for the help. Im going to check that SXT ammo then. I wonder if Bass Pro has it. Im sure I can get it on the internet.
