I was bummed to see a cancelation of my saiga 12s. Is there any way we can configure to CA legal before shipment or even send to my FFL (AW Lisc) and have him configure it w/ mag lock???
Thanks in advance, Jared

I think freakshow will act as a middleman, he posts here.

Even if your FFL is an AW FFL he cannot "make" the gun legit after it gets here. That must be done before it gets here. Otherwise he is receiving an AW into his AW inventory and he can't "un" AW it and you can't receive it as an AW.

I had DD's ship mine to Henderson Defense. Henderson did the pistol grip conversion and bullet button installation then shipped it to my local FFL.

So if I understand it correctly, the S12 would need to be send somewhere (middleman) to be configured into CA compliance because DD's doesnt do that prior to shipping?.

The website didnt allow me to purchase one. Says 5 in stock.

DD's will not ship into CA. A semi auto shotgun with detachable mags is an AW in CA. The shotgun needs to have a mag lock installed prior to entering into CA, out of state dealer to install and ship into CA

So the bottomline is that DD doesnt do any "gunsmith" services?. They could just install a mag lock b4 they shipped right?.

I do not think they will do that. I don't think they have the mag locks. Most are made custom by the gunsmiths who are modifying them.

Best bet is to have it shipped to Henderson Defense for a Cali conversion. Well worth it in my opinion. It looks awesome!
