Where would you use it... inside a safe door? I guess it's possible... but drilling holes may compromise the fire rating of the safe?

Use: on a Peg Board in a safe room, yes.

I used the basic hooks from Home Depot dipped in Plasti-Coat. Works fine.

I have seen those from cabela's and I am trying to see if there are similar options. If you need to get 10-20 of them, can someone say rip-off?

A good safe will have a board with peg holes on the inside of the door.

I use these:

have not had anything fall off yet, the velcro seems pretty strong.

flamaest, i use those tool holders for some of my handguns. they work great. all of my semiautos fit in them. i don't have any wheelguns so don't know about those, but i like the nice horizontal position to save some space. Best of all, they are inexpensive. i think they were around 2 bucks a piece at the big W.
