Interesting; how rigid is that rail? Looks like it would bow in the middle.

I do give you +15 man points for taking the modification of your shotgun into your own hands and doing the work yourself. Another +15 man points for being meticulous and putting in serious effort.

However, and don't take this personally... I give you -25 man points for doing things to a shotgun that are entirely unnecessary.

On the whole sir, you come out with +5 man points, and a firearm that you are personally happy with and worked on yourself. Both of which are things the average man does not have and lusts after. I say, a job well done. :)

haha i see where your going with this, but this makes a shot gun quite accurate + i wanted to have a handle, so i got the best of both worlds =)

that's really cool you made your own rail.
They are hard to find and pretty expensive to buy. I found mine at OneShotTactical.com

Just be careful using the reciever to hold it down. Mine eventually stripped out after about 100+ rounds of OO buck. Now I've got to find another way to mount it....

But props to you man for making it yourself:D

If you add a mossberg heat shield to the barrel it might help close up some of the gap you have between the rail and barrel. Also have you thought about buying a better quality stock? I used to have the same ATI stock, but wasn't truely happy with it till I got the Mesa Tactical Stock. take a look and Mesa Tactical or CAV Arms, they both make a good AR stock adaptor

Whoa. That thing (the one with the round mag) looks like a massive amount of firepower in one's hands.

How much does it weigh when loaded up? And what's the total capacity?

Now that I'm thinking about it...isn't there something in Cali law against drug magazines in shotguns, or am I making that up?

Truly fierce weapon.:chris:

Well you probably shouldn't use drugs with any firearm;)
The law states no rotating drum... the Knoxx 10 round drum does not rotate, it uses a follower that pushes the shells. the whole set up weighs more then any shotgun should and is more of a fun gun then a practical one...

Why would you do half of that?
Looks like all of that would make the gun way too heavy and unwieldy to really be practical. It's an ugly contraption too.
Are you just trying to piss your neighbors off?

Why would it piss my neighbors off? I don't walk around outside with it.

BTW I have a regular Mossber 500, so why not do it to a second one. Yes it's heavy and un-wieldy... But the Sidewinder kit is unwieldy to begin with. In the thread I post right after I finished it I stated that clear as day. I cal it my ZB500 (Zombieblaster 500) because that's all it's good for FACTITIOUS zombies

Plus I wanted to do everything I could do to a shotgun... Really stick it to the man ya know
To each their own... I still need to figure out a way to add a bayonet to it... then maybe a flare launcher:D

Why don't you tell us how you really feel?

Don't worry Baron. Some people just don't have any taste. I think it's pretty kick a**. Yeah a little excessive but so are most of the guns on this message board. Nothing wrong with having a little fun with your toys.

LOL... well unless you have another basic shotgun, I wouldn't build one like mine. I have several mossbergs, so I figured what the heck with this one...

I've posted several reviews about the sidewinder kit. And in each I state it's more of a novelty then anything. It's still fun to use though

So if you really want to, go for it. Most of my stuff on my ZB500 I bought on Gunbroker... like the Sidewinder Magazines. You can find the conversion kits on gunbroker too, but personally, people charge way more then they are worth... Like I said before it's your money... LOL... I wasted alot of mine, So I'm more then happy to help others spend theirs ;)

The full length rail can be hard to find though. I don't think OneShotTactical.com is selling them anymore.

The stock is by Mesa Tactical and is their High Tube stock.
I used the endine recoil buffer for the stock tube
The sights are just cheap airsoft ones...

I'm still playing with different front mounts though for the laser and flashlight mount... No Mallninja should be without both, but I'm afraid my flashlight isn't big enough for full mallninja points... LOL

I don't tend to spend a lot of time on forums, so I hadn't heard "mall ninja" before. I googled it and saw this:

"The Mall Ninja is easily distinguished by an abundance of “tactical” gear, such as fatigues, a thigh holster (with, of course, a Glock), combat boots, bandolier and other accouterments that you’d usually only see on a SWAT operative. Median age is usually 19-25, and they tend to boast about their various exploits with certain Special Forces units, all of which they’re too young and idiotic to have joined (real Special Forces types don’t brag). They typically have opinions on everything, regardless of expertise, they are uniformly poor shots, and they tend to exhibit a frightening lack of safety training."

So a mall ninja is a politician in training? I'm not sure that I totally understand the concept.

I wouldn't have ruin a great shotgun setup like a 590A1 with a sidewinder... where as I own 2 500A's so why not.... But there's gotta be a way to add a bayonet to mine. Like the Glock pistol one but bigger... then a flare launcher would have to be the icing on the cake LOL:rolleyes:

Your overthinking things here... it's a silly term people use to represent something unpractical, but looks internet cool...
You need to google Gecko45, he's the Lord of all Mallninja's, heck he even saved the mayors son's arse virginity:eek:
