I did the Richvale hunt again this yr with friends and family and noticed the bird population to be very low. I got 2 planters the first day and a coyote. How was everyone elses hunt?

I went to San Jacinto today (they only do pheasant on Monday)
Didn't see a one. I talked to a couple of guys who saw one.
It's a tough hunt out there, I get one about every 4 trips.

It has been a slow year for pheasants out here as well. I think the coyotes are getting all of them.

I agree with you on this 100%, but some people don't believe a coyote can catch a pheseant. I've seen one planted one shot this past weekend.

Populations up near Sacramento NWR seem very low this year.

We finaly made it out to the corn fields......buddy and I bagged 5...One of the best starts ever. And yes , they were wild and not the cage chickens.

Are there wild pheasant anywhere in the Antelope Valley?
I wasn't aware if there were.

Are our you talking about one of the clubs out there?
