"Emanuel lost that job but stayed on as a senior adviser and oversaw some of Clinton's top initiatives, including NAFTA and an assault-weapons ban."

No mention that before coming to Congress, Rahm Emanuel was a Freddie Mac board member.

If he accepts the job will he still be a member of the congress? Or will he have to retire from that position?

He'll resign his house seat and a dem will be appointed to replace him.
