I was hoping I could get some results from folks who happen to have CMMG uppers. What moa are you managing to hit? What twist/grain did you use?

Thanks!

I have one of their 20" 1-7twist medium contour uppers. It's a bit heavy, but I've managed 1-1.5MOA with prvi partizan's 75gr match when i do my part.

I have a 14.5" medcon barrel that hits 1moa consistantly at 100 yds with my hunting loads 55gr vmax. It is a little heavier than a standard barrel 16" but not much and the accuracy was very surprising.

I can print clover leafs at 50 meters using American Eagle 62 grain with iron sights. The rifle will way out shoot me. Groups at 100 open up, but not too bad considering iron sights and not 19 anymore eyes. Upper is an 18" "SPR."

Thanks guys!, anyone with the "government contour" models?

A gov't profile is subject to more barrel whip and will be slightly less accurate, especially with heat - it's one of the reasons, eg., the SOCOM M4's went to a heavier profile.

so it's a heavy barrel that is 14.5 inches long?

I have a 20" MedCon that is very accurate. Highly recommended - although CMMG has been out of stock of the 20" barrels for way too long now...

Glad to hear that about the 16" medcon - I got my 16" mid-length, medcon, specter upper from Riflegear last week and haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. Next weekend I'll be in the desert sighting it in and then I'll report back here.

YEAH - from that guy, right there! ^^^^^ :D

One of mine is a 16" Gov't profile. It consistently does just a c---hair above 1 MOA @ 100 yds. using the irons with M855. (1/7";62gr. projectile).:D
