I was looking at the P-Mag mod that accepts only 10 rounds and thought; "something is missing here". Ok, here goes, what if you glued in a few empty casings in the window to simulate a full mag? Look cool huh? I know, you would probably get hassled, but hey, look it only takes ten rounds.

What do you think?

Ammobros sells them for about 50 bucks. It sounds cool in theory, but it is not a great idea. If a cop pulled you over with it, he would not even give you a chance to explain. That and range officers would absolutely freak the F*** out.

i think it would be explained after he tries to unload it to find it already unloaded

True, but here are a couple other problems. They cannot be opened, as the mag is glued and epoxied so that it won't. If a spring goes bad or you need to change the follower, you are screwed. The only way to prove that the rounds under the follower are not primed and tipped is to break the mag. They are 50 bucks. Cool idea, asking for more trouble than it is worth. We already have enough problems just by having an OLL, don't need the added headache of what appears to be a loaded 30/30.

You do realise that that is ALREADY the case with 10/20 and 10/30 pmags, right?

You can do this quite easily yourself.

Go to 44mag.com

Buy a 30rd PMAG w/window as a "rebuild" kit.

Insert follower and spring.
Then insert 20 EMPTY AND DEPRIMED 223 casings.
Then EPOXY shut the floorplate. Make absolutely sure that the floorplate can never be removed, otherwise you've just made a post-ban illegal 30rd mag.

To be honest, no. I do not have any PMags of 10/20 and 10/30. the only 10/20 I have is built to only hold 10 rnds, it is not modified so the floorplate does come off.
